Economic Justice Pricing Model
This model is based on the work of Alexis J. Cunningfolk. I offer tiered pricing because I believe my work should be accessible to more than just those with financial privilege. I want to live in a world where systemic injustice, intergenerational oppression, and economic hardship not only don’t limit access to my work—but no longer exist at all.
Please choose the tier that best reflects your current financial reality, without guilt or justification. Each tier helps make this work sustainable and available to a wider range of people while also supporting me to continue offering my services.
Tier A
I am comfortably able to meet all of my basic needs like food and housing
I may have some debt but it doesn’t prohibit attainment of basic needs
I have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education or privileges such as gender, race, or class background
I own my home OR I rent a higher-end property
I own or lease a car
I am employed or do not need to work to meet my needs
I have regular access to healthcare
I have access to financial savings
I have expendable income, meaning I’m able to make pleasure purchases most months
I can afford to take time off or go on vacation
Tier B
I may stress about meeting my basic needs but still regularly achieve them
I may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs like food or housing
I own or lease a car
I am employed
I have access to healthcare
I might have access to financial savings
I am able to buy some new items and I thrift others
I can take a vacation annually or every few years
Tier C
I frequently stress about meeting basic needs
I need to be making more money than I currently am, not to afford basic needs like food and housing, but to afford vacations and monthly pleasure purchases
I have immigration-related expenses
I experience discrimination in hiring or pay level
I’m descended from enslaved people or native/indigenous Americans
